Jay G. Criche Memorial Scholarships Awarded

The 2013 Jay G. Criche Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Liza Passalino at the Lake Forest High School Awards ceremony in May.   Liza was involved in many productions at CenterStage and at Lake Forest High School. She learned how to create a character and was encouraged to sing and dance. She continued pursuing her love of theater at the high school and became a director for the talent show. She plans on continuing her involvement in all aspects of theater as she heads off to college. CenterStage hopes that Liza will return to CenterStage for many encore performances.

Congratulations to Erica Werner and Mac Myles, our 2012 recipients of the Jay G. Criche Memorial Scholarship.

Both Erica and Mac have been in many productions with us and at the high school, onstage from chorus to leads and backstage as student directors.

CenterStage in Lake Forest gives a scholarship to a graduating Senior at Lake Forest High School who has participated in theatre and music at the school and has been involved with our community theatre group as well. The scholarship is named in honor of Jay Criche, longtime theatre director at LFHS and a founding director of CenterStage.
